Meet Our Founders
Magnified Voices was born from a simple belief: when people have knowledge, community, and someone standing beside them, they can change their own lives and their neighborhoods.
Being in our community, we noticed a pattern of people who were passionate and cared deeply about that community; they just didn’t have the access, information, or support to navigate the systems around them. We wanted to be part of the solution, to give those that are often overlooked a voice, to be of service, to show them how and where to engage, to build the bridge between their passion and action.
We know that people hold the power and all they need is the support to realize that power. And that support starts with conversations on door steps, in school hallways, in public spaces, and when we show up as neighbors. Everything we do, from civic education to resource navigation to community advocacy, is about removing barriers so people can participate fully in their own lives and in our democracy. We’re not here to speak for people. We’re here to amplify their voices.
More About Our Magnified Voices Team
We can’t do this work alone! And we have a team of amazing volunteers that give selflessly and work tirelessly to support our mission. They are showing up to School Board meetings, City Council meetings, County Commission meetings, our local public schools, community events, the doorsteps of our neighbors, and more. Our team has been in the community so often that people recognize us (and our shirts) and we have become a trusted presence in the community.
Whether it’s helping families navigate complex systems, showing up at county meetings, supporting parents during school challenges, or mobilizing neighbors around local elections, people know they can reach out and we will respond with care, clarity, and consistency. That trust wasn’t given; it was earned by our Magnified Voices Team, one relationship at a time.
