I need help with public education advocacy / my school

We believe that knowledge is power and access to inclusive, truth-centered education is a cornerstone of justice. Our public education advocacy prioritizes culturally responsive learning, equitable school funding, and the freedom to teach history with honesty and courage.

We work to:

  • Champion curriculum equity that reflects diverse voices, histories, and lived experiences
  • Push back against censorship and erasure, defending the rights of educators and students to engage in critical learning
  • Support community-led education initiatives that empower parents, caregivers, and youth to shape school systems
  • Advocate for fair teacher pay and professional support, recognizing educators as essential leaders in justice-based learning.

Through school board engagement, coalition action, and public storytelling, Magnified Voices uplifts education as a public good and ensures every learner has access to the tools they need to thrive.

More About Public Education Advocacy

We don’t just believe in policies, funding, and practices, that support the educational needs of all students, we show up to make it happen. You can find Magnified Voices at almost every school board meeting speaking against unjust book bans, school closures, and more. You’ll find us showing up for students in classrooms and supporting their learning journies. We circulate letters to our school boards and government officials so people can express their concerns about issues detrimental to our public school system; such as Schools of Hope.

These fights are about more than just policy for us: they are about protecting our children, our classrooms, and our communities.
