Hop Into Spring was a day filled with joy, care, and meaningful connection. We arrived with the intention to serve, and left feeling deeply fulfilled. Throughout the day, we held space for both heartbreak and happiness, listening to difficult stories, sharing laughter, and creating moments of play that truly mattered.
Community care is the practice of showing up for one another with intention. Consistent, simple gestures reassure us that we have support and are never isolated. When we check in on a neighbor, share resources, or make space for someone’s story, we strengthen the fabric that holds us together.

Children spent the day decorating Easter bags, hunting for eggs, and planting seeds in small pots, flowers they can later gift to their mothers for Mother’s Day. Lauren kept the kids engaged and excited with activities, while adults enjoyed games, picked up essential items, and we all shared a nice meal together.
This is a community we have been walking alongside for nearly a year. We first connected after the pastor was detained in May then deported in July 2025. Since then, five more families have experienced similar hardships. Today, the church is led by a new pastor, and we remain committed to showing up as they rebuild trust, stability, and support.
Supporting the Community is More Than One Event
Hop Into Spring was more than a one-day event, it was a reflection of what community care truly looks like. It means being present in both joy and hardship. It means standing with people when they are most vulnerable. Most importantly, it is a promise: they are not alone.
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event so special. Whether you gave your time, essential items, food, funds, or other resources, it all made a difference.
